My Background

I received my masters in counseling psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and my bachelors at Taylor University. In my masters work all of my training happened alongside practical experiences both in the form of practicum group settings and my clinical internship. I interned at a community clinic in the Seattle Area where I worked with a wide variety of individuals of all ages. As a queer therapist, a highlight of my time spent at my internship was working with many clients from the LGBTQ community. Continuing to learn within a community of therapists and under the guidance of those who train therapists is crucial to my work and as such I am currently under clinical supervision and attend weekly group consultations.

About Me

I grew up at a small camp my parents ran in rural Pennsylvania. There I came to love the magic of summer nights, days spent among nature, and connecting deeply with the people around me. My decision to pursue becoming a therapist first began to sprout during my own transformative experience in therapy in college. I know that in order to care well for you in our work, I must take care of my own self holistically. When I am not with my clients I can be found throwing pots at a ceramic studio, working in my community garden plot with my spouse, training my two cats to go on walks, sitting by the sound, visiting my past nanny kiddos, reading queer fiction, and spending time with friends.
